P and I went to the DMV last week, While I was out of state getting ready to head home an airline employee mentioned that I might not want to get pulled over and showed me that my liscense had expired almost a year ago. I had no idea and thought about the long drive home I had once I landed, and of course decided to be very careful. A couple days after I got home I looked up which DMV I could renew it at and the next morning early I headed out with P. It was raining and cold, I went to the DMV and found that at some point they had decided to close that particular one and I had to drive to another one that was full service. I thought that now it was at least 45 minutes after opening that I would have to wait awhile, but I walked in was given a number and then my number was called almost at the same time I recieved it, it took 2 minutes and P. and I were headed home, I thought wow how lucky was I, but then I had a chuckle and remembered that I would have new pict. I hoped it wouldn't be worse then the last one. Well I got my pict today and felt lucky it looks like me. I have to renew in 5 years, so i'll enjoy my half way decent pict for now and see what the future brings. Oh yes they are a lovely way to compare then and now. Now I'm 10 pounds heavier I had a good laugh and oh well thats how the cookie crumbles.
look to right for my old pict taken 5 years ago. I have had a chin implant.

My GREAT man
We had ward conference recently and one of the stake presidency ask me where my hubby was, I told him he had been called to work with an emergency. The Brother then went on to tell me how much he appreciated my husband and telling me things my husband does for others , he went on and on and I said "He is a good man" and he said No sister P. "He is a GREAT Man". I chuckled and thought you can say that your not married to him. But truth be told He is a great man, and I am very grateful to have him in my life this Fathers day. I wanted to share with you what I most admire about my GREAT guy. At the top of my list is his humanity- his compassion, his willingness to love others without judgment.
He is the kindest father and husband, he does not raise his hand or his voice in our home and I will be forever grateful for his example as a father to me and his children.I love that he walks with me and his children hand in hand through life allowing us each to be who we are.
I actually have lots of GREAT men in my life, I am grateful for the GREAT men my sisters married, Dean, Eric, Zig, Scott. I am grateful for my two GREAT brothers who make me laugh and set such wonderful examples as men.
Dad I am grateful for you, I hope you heal quickly, so when I am there in August you can skip through the market with me. Happy Fathers Day! I love you and thank you for all you do and the love you show me, my hubby and my beautiful children.

Crazy hair
Just before school ended, they had crazy hair day- here is P's crazy hair. we had a good laugh and she was super excited to make it purple, she is adorable
N. was planning on joing the army, he knew he would lose his hair, so he decided on something crazy before going in, he did not end up joining and decided he looks better with a traditional haircut. His mom agrees, but loves him no matter how he wears his hair.Saturday, March 12, 2011
new grocery bag.
I wanted to show the bag I made today I got the pattern from Green and unabashed on line, it turned out so cute. P. and I took a walk to the grocery store and used our new bag, It worked great . I changed the pattern a little by adding stiff interfacing to the fabric and I'm glad I did. The bag is reversable and it is made out of regular cotton fabric. I only shop once a month and my 5 large bags are not enough so I plan on making 5 or 6 of these also. They don't take long to make at all, I used scraps from my material box
